Desert
Deserts are places on earth that are characterized by little vegetation and rain. They are made up of sand or rocks and gravel. Deserts cover about one-fifth of all the land in the world. Most deserts lie along the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn, imaginary lines that lie north and south of the equator.

Animals
There isn’t many animals in the desert because it is so dry. Many of the animals that live here are very small and are able to escape the heat by crawling into small places.  Some animals that live in the desert are: Brown Hyena, Spiney Lizard, Scorpion,  Coyote, Camels, Tortoise, Dromedary, Patchnose Snake, and Bearded Dragon.

                     


Plants
Just like the animal life in the desert, the plant life is not very diverse.  The main vegetation are cactuses.  Also there are many shrubs and small bushes.  Other types of plants are a limite number of flowers and also grasses.  Othe plants include: sagebrush, mesquite, saguaro, date palm, and the century plant.

      

Destruction and Interaction
Like the savannah, the desert does not have that many great things for humans.  It doesn’t have any bad things either but there is really no use for the desert for humans.  The desert brings some amazing sites for people to enjoy but other than that, not much.  And also like the savannah, construction sites are popping up all over and sestroying all the desert life.
