Freshwater
Probably the most widely spread biome, however the smallest, is the freshwater biome.  Sure about 75% of the Earth is covered by water but almost none of it is freshwater.  Freshwater is water that does not contain any salt.  The largerst freshwater lakes are the
Great Lakes.

Animals
There are many diffrent kinds of fish and other diffrent kind of animals which live in Fresh water. Many of these fish can be found in lakes, rivers, or ponds. The animals we found which live in fresh water are; Salmon, Clams, Bass, Barnacles, Rainbow Trout, Carp, Zebra Mussels, Blue Gill, and Catfish.

Plants
Most of the plants that are found in freshwater are found very close to the surface.  In fact, a lot of them can also grow on land or partly do.  Some of these plants are: algae, mosses, plankton, seaweed, and lilies.

Destruction and Interaction
Freshwater is useful and needed in many ways by humans, plants, and animals.  First, we all need water to live.  All plants need water to live also.  Freshwater is a must for farmers using irrigation.  Freshwater is wasted when the climate is dry and we have droughts.  When a drought occurs, precipitation is much lower and evaporation is much higher.  When there are too many people using freshwater in an area, the freshwater level goes down.
