Ocean
Over 70 percent of the earth's surface is covered by water. In fact, when seen from space, our earth looks blue, because of the large bodies of water which cover most of it. Although we speak of separate oceans, the world is really covered by one huge ocean in which the continents are islands.

Animals
Just as it is the the biggest biome on the earth, it is the most inhabited biome oh the earth.  The different temperature regions and wide spacing allow for very different types of animals to live in.  Some of these animals are: tropical fish, coral, dolphins, manatees, killer whales, humpback wales, hammerhead sharks, great white sharks, squid, sting rays, jellyfish, and sea horses.



Plants
The ocean is the biggest inhabited biome that is not a terrestrial biome.  The plant number in the oceans are endless.  The plants range from algae to regular seaweed.  Other types of plants include plankton and other phytoplankton.  Many different types of plants are found in coral reefs.

Destruction and Interaction
Oceans have many uses to humans and other things.  To all the ocean life, it serves as they’re eternal home.  Without the ocean, we would lose a major amount of species.  Humans also use the ocean for everything from traveling to recreation.  We use boats to get across these oceans to go to other countries.  Also, we just enjoy a nice day at the beach.  Humans have destroyed the ocean ecosystems by polluting them a lot.  Oil spills and other pollutants being put in the ocean destroys it.
