Savanna

The savanna biome is very closely related to that of the grasslands.  If there were arranged in an order of characteristics, a savanna would be between the grasslands and the desert.  The main place where savannas are found is in the middle region of Africa.

Animals
Through the savanna there are many different animals.  All of these animals work together to help one another get each others needs. The list of animals in the savanna includes: zebras, elephants, monkeys, giraffes, lions, hyenas, hippos, rhinos, many insects, antelope, many exotic birds, leopards, cheetahs, and apes.

Plants
In the savanna there isn't quite enough rain for a lot of plants to grow.  However there is enough for some.  Many different types of grasses grow ranging from short to about 5 foot high grass.  There are also many shrubs as well as different types of bushes.  Trees are able to grow but they do not grow very high.

Destruction
There is little importance that the savanna serves for humans if any.  Many people go to the savannas and hunt animals that only live there.  It is also a place where people can go see many of the savanna life.  Humans are cappible of and may be destroying the savanna by expanding buildings and cities into the savanna forcing animals to look even harder for their food.
